Default Arctic cat, other?

Hi, looks like a great place here. I'm in the market for my first new quad and don't know a good one from a hole in the ground. My heart says buy American which puts me to Polaris BRP or Arctic Cat. Just wondering why AC seems to be in this section? Thanx.

My only experience with an arctic cat quad is an '98 arctic cat 300 4x4. My dad bought it in probably '01 used. That quad has held up really well. My brother and myself have not been easy on it either. That was the machine that we both rode through most of our teen years. So we have had it in mud and creeks way deeper than it ever should have been. It is not fast or really powerful but we cant seem to break it. I cant say for sure what the newer arctic cats are like but if they are anything like that quad is, then they will be really reliable. BTW. we still have it and It pretty much just gets used as a snow plow quad now. but it still runs great. I just thought that i would throw that one out for you.

i owned a polaris 500 sportsman. in its time it was bad @$$! big wheel kit mag wheels winch like i said it was bad@$$! the only time i had a problem with it was when it went barral rolling down a hill. it rolled 3 times not to bad of damage but it was my fault and i had it for 5 yrs. the new ones r suppose to be tough but ive never seen one. 800cc is hugh and i think they r now 850cc wow! the only problem i do not like about them is they r heavy and if yo get them stuck get a winch and a tree because you cant push them but i say check out the polaris.
