went out on monday to see how my tracks are working since the rebuild. the weather was shi-tackular with freezing rain and ice pellets but i rarely get to ride in the winter so i really didnt care too much!
the tracks are worlds different with all new bearings. the machine would actually roll when i let off the throttle instead of feeling like i jammed on the brakes! got some very interested looks from some of the snowmobillers that passed me and one guy in a truck with his two young sons even had to stop and have a chat with me. they were wide eyed when they saw my machine. they would have probably completely lost it if i had been on a nice new bike with new tracks lol.
anyway, heres some video. as always, no editing. (im just not that smart)
Nice! how are those track systems? they seem cool but never used em. was thinkin of finding an old pair of tracks to retrofit on my blaster frankenwheeler then put ski's on the front.... maybe next winter. i just got a sled
i love the tracks but there are too few areas that allow atv's in the winter here. i just traded the works in on a new bike, maybe i'll put tracks on it eventually if something changes and more riding oppertunities arrise.
i've seen a few vids of sport bikes with rear tracks and front skiis, they look like a blast!
