Default Which is the best ATV to buy??

I'm looking at buying a brand new 2007 ATV for the spring. Anybody have any recommendations?

I'm a new ATV rider so I don't need anything to crazy. Just want to do some trail riding.

I take it you are not worried as much about the speed of your ATV then? It needs to perform well but not be super fast?

you can go for polaris as its one machine which doesnt provide you with too much power but pretty good performance. so no crazy stuff on polaris

I don't know what model you guys are running or are looking at buying. I picked up an 06 Sportsman 800 and I've got more than enough power from that machine. The clutch is not ideal and some work could be done there, but Polaris is great. Independant suspension all around with more clearance than everyone other than Canam (in 06 anyways) comes stock with a full aluminum skid plate from front to back they are the only ones that do that. Some others come with plastic plates but I don't see them holding up all that long, At least not where I ride. All Wheel drive as opposed to what most machines are running which is four wheel drive. Makes turning a dream with it engaged, and as soon as you hit some soupy ground the front end locks up. Going form 2 to all wheel drive is just a flick of your left thumb on the fly. I'm loving my machine. looking back on my decision I wouldn't have done anything else. You can't go wrong with Honda though. I have ridden them and you can count on the anytime of night or day and in any weather they are a definate work horse.

polaris is a good starter quad but the only thing that I really like on it is the seat it sucks up every bump that the suspention misses so it is a good all day riden machine but I'll stick with my Honda's their the most reliable I think. Like he said earlier make sure you have your regestration stickers and card on your wheeler learned that the hard way also.
