which one to buy, Arctic cat VS can am
I'm in the market for a new ATV in the 650 to 700 cc range. Because of the service of my local dealers I've narrowed my search to the
Arctic Cat 700 LTD, Can Am 650 XT, or the 700 Suzuki. I would appreciate any open minded advice.
The wheeler will be a single seat 4x4, pwr steering, winch, heated grips, removable windshield. It will mostly be used for some light ranch work in the mountains and trail ride in the mountains from 6K to 9K altitude.
My girl friend who weighs a 130 lbs will be riding this quit a bit, I weight 240 so we ride quality is very important. We are looking for an atv with good power, good ride over rocky ground, and of course reliability.
I have ridden the Arctic Cats a bit and they they seem to have good suspension, but lack power. Plus the winch on the LTD is low quality. A plus is it has a big gas tank.
I hear the Can Am 650 has the most power, but is heavy and the ride isn't as good as the A/C. Has small gas tank. Had a person tell they are the least reliable of the group (belt problems).
Suzuki is a bit cheaper, but I don't know anything about them. I would have to add the bumpers, winch, and nice rims.
Since I ride at at high altitude are people having anything special done on the clutching? I know on my old 500 HO I did a high altitude clutching and it helped greatly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
