Yamaha,Honda,Suzuki,Kawasaki 2-up seaters??

I see lots of Can-Am, Polaris, and a few Arctic Cat 2-up seater quads out on the trails. Why haven't the Japanese manufacturers built their own? Is it because they would rather build side x side units like the Rhino or Teryx? I would love to bring a friend out on a ride, but I want to RIDE not drive an ATV.

Riding a quad is for one not two. Its hard to control a 2up the other person has to follow the operator of the vehicle. I dont care for either i like sport models but if i was riding 2 i would ratther be on a side by side.
