Hello everyone,

I now have quite a nice garage with a couple of imported cars and then my pride and joy KTM 250cc SX. Love going out on rides with the hot sun and fresh air but just lately i have been seeing people driving around on these ATV's and to be honest they look cool as fu** i need to give them a try. I have been looking at some 4x4 ATV's for sale and found that they are very well priced and after doing some reading Honda is always a good company to go with. What i need to know is the users experience...
What is the best on road ATV?? including fuel consumption etc
Which are most reliable
and what year should i go for to get the best deal that i can??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks ;)

Strange "on road 4x4" request.

Everyone has their favorite brand. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki are probably the top 3. Can-Am in there too, specially now they put out some competitive priced machines.

Suzuki King Quad has been the top rated by several sources for a few years now. Even though Suzuki hasn't really changed much, they just seem to fix the areas that get the complaints, but don't really do style re-designs. Meaning, their 2017's don't look much different from the 2013.

But if it works, why change?

Personally, I'm a Suzuki fan. Very reliable, the lever to switch between high, low, neutral, and reverse works very well for what I need it for. Really didn't like the push button reverses, specially Honda's multi-step way. Suzuki has Diff-lock that will get you out of just about anything as long as your tires are on the ground. Suzuki is also one of the lighter machines in each class. (i.e., the 750 is lighter than other 700's.)

I have found this on the ebay site and it goes for about $5,500 then after that the pries shoot up into the 10s etc i know Honda is also a great make but they have mentioned the gear shiftier to be hard work and you said yours was easy on the Suzuki... what is the difference?

Thanks again :D

When I rode my sisters Honda, to put it in reverse, you had to hold the brake handle and hold a button in and then press another button. It isn't as hard as it sounds, but for my purposes, Plowing snow, it simply was too much.

Up until that, I was sold on Honda. I had already priced and configured what I wanted on a Honda and then I drove my sisters. Very capable machine, but the electronic shifting, I felt, was going to be a liability.

Also, for the same money I was spending, the King Quad offered Independent rear suspension and Differential Lock.

Raptor is a quad racer. 2WD.

In the picture, it looks like an older Foreman???
