don't know much about this specific model, but I'd just keep an eye open for the basics. Proper jetting, clean air intake, good cables (a 7 year old girl, wearing a helmet, just died this week cause her ignition got stuck and she slammed into a tree) and regular oil change.

Keep filter clean, oil changes, valves correctly gapped and it should last a long time. Make sure your Child Knows what to do if the throttle does stick. I told my 6 yearold which he rides a 50 dirt bike to bail or hit the kill switch if it acts up.
