Just purchased a new Honda TRX 400 and have a few questions about mods....

I just bought an 07' that was still new from a dealer. I have a 1 yr warranty so I don't want to void that but already have the urge to do some upgrades. Where is the biggest restriction? The intake, the exhaust.......? What do you guys think of these "IGNITION REV BOX" Power Modules? They seem to allow the engine to rev higher and advance timing but I'm sure it's not good for the engine. Nerf Bars? Skid Plates? The rear brake and sprocket seem to be pretty low so I'm thinking especially about protecting that. Any input would be much appreciated. I tried to search but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of specific info on the TRX-400.

I just read this and it was very helpful. Our 400EX Modifications and Secrets seems that the intake is a good place to start but you need to upgrade the jets as this Quad already runs on the lean side from the factory.

Exhaust and air intake are some quick mods that will change your power and not affect your warranty

still new after 3 years, wow, viva honda quad
