Default Drive Shaft question

Hello I own a 03 Honda Rancher 4x4 350 ES,
The rear drive shaft going from the engine to the
swing arm has a joint boot the Boot has a hole in it
I have a new boot on its way my friend And I trying to replace
it can you move one of the shafts instead of removing the swing arm to replace the boot anyhelp or ideas would be appericated thanks and happy holidays
