Smile Finished!

That was it! After hours of tearing that four wheeler apart checking wiring, fan, etc., the resolution was the oil sensor was unplugged. Best I can say was a stick got up in there and popped it loose. I was able to get to this sensor by removing the factory skid plate that was attached with about 6 - 8 bolts. Once that was removed, the wiring and sensor was easily visible on the rear of the engine a bit higher up and further back from the oil drain plug. I plugged it in and ran it. The four wheeler ran forever before the fan kicked on...I assume that when all the sensors are plugged in and working correctly it would take awhile to overheat the engine!

Thanks for all your help Trikemaster! I don't know if I would have been able to get through this without your help!

Chris

I'm glad you repaired it
I have been with the ATV all the weekend Without results, i will try the Oil Sensor.
I have two doubts:
before fixing it , when you put the contact, before starting it , does the light of the temperature turn on?
When Thermostat Switch is no hot yet , is it interrupted or connected?
Thank you very much

When I turn the key on, my oil/temp light does not turn on either. I don't think it is supposed to (atleast mine doesn't and I know everything is in working order).

The way I tested my fan was by running two wires from the battery and to the fan - positive on one side and negative on the other. (I stuck the wires into the plug. Make sure you have a good connection to the wires.) By doing this, your fan should turn on.

You have a Rincon?
Have you tested the thermostat switch?
Check for power at the fan connection.....

Yes I have a Rincon
I've checked the fuse
I've removed the Thermostat Switch and I've put together the wires, but When Thermostat Switch is not hot yet, interrupted or is it connected?
I've checked the Coolant Sensor (the sensor in the cylinder head)
I have only to check the Oil Sensor
where is the fan switch to connect the battery directly?

thank you very much

The tan plugs in near where the thermostbewitch plugs in. Follow the wires from the fan and you will find the plug. Unplug it from the wiring harness and wire the fan in directly there.

Default Rincon...

To test the fan, unplug the fan switch and short the two wires leading into it together, the fan should come on. If not, you may have a wiring problem or a bad fan. There should be 12 volts at one of the pins, and the other should lead to the fan. Make sure the ground wire on the fan is good.

I would check that Oil Sensor because it connects to the ECM and controls the dash....
