Right now I have a fresh top end and the compression is good. I have spark at the spark plug. I just completly cleaned the carb and replace the needle jet set. Also made sure the choke was clean and moving as it should. So this is what is happening, i hit the start button and the bike turns over until i give it a little bit of throttle and then I hear a loud cracking sound and I leave off the gas and it stops. I can not get the quad to start. So I am freaked out about what is sound is and where it is coming from. When I put my hand on the starter it feels like it is coming from there but I can not be sure that it originates from there because i don't not understand how the starter clutch dissengages once the bike starts up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
