Default neutral is a pain on my 04 450r ???

Anyone have some advice for me on improving getting into neutral. It takes me about 10 damn times of just barley taping the gear lever to get it in, I just keep going from 1st to 2nd. I just got the quad about two weeks ago and the original owner said it really wasnt a issue for him but one day he was over at my house and he too had a problem with it. Should I try a different tranny oil weight. Right now Im using Honda 85w90. Thanks for any help or advice...

your clutch might not be disengaging all the way. Check the free play in the lever there should be about 1/8" or so. Sometimes blipping the throttle slightly will help ease it into neutral or try shifting while the quad is still rolling.

thanks for the reply. Ive tried the rolling deal and it has worked sometimes but I will check the free play and blipping the throttle.
