Hot Tucson summer...have some fluid questions??

Its starting to get real hot here in Tucson....triple digits pretty much every day. Just picked up a used 04 450r and want to flush all the fluids with new fresh oil. What does everyone use for really hot areas.

Also, would it be ok to run just water and water wetter? Ive heard of people doing this but I myslef have not. Would this be ok for my 450r or should I use the regular green stuff.

Thanks for any input, I want my quad running perfect.
