1994 400cc Bajou Overheats!

Everything is working fine ie. water pump, thermostat, rad but if i ride hard particularly when there is not much wind blowing through the rad it over heats. I've heard this may be common and one suggestion I've heard is to install a 12v fan directed at the engine. Does anyone have knowledge of this problem?

currently i have a 1994 kawi bayou 400 that has always had a fan problem. I am going to replace the fan and see if it works any better.

But yes i was told that they had problems with the fans in most off the bikes back then.
