Question Gio 50 cc not starting

I have a 50 cc Gio that won't start this spring. It was running when I parked it; but it wasn't running very well. It had to be half choked in order to run. I've messed with the idle screw and choking etc and it will not fire. Spark plug good, air good. It's getting fuel. Fresh gas. Not sure what else to try. Does anybody have any ideas?

Also, I've messed with the idle screw so much I'm not sure where it's at. Does anybody know how to "reset" it (e.g. how many turns out is normal)?

Hello,
It sound like you have a gummed up carburetor. You may want to disasemble it and clean it. Your tank may be dirty also. Try putting a good fuel filter in line and if you're not going to use it for an extended period of time turn off the gas at the petcock and run it until the engine quits. That way you will not have any gas in the crab to gum up.
Good luck.
