Default gas problems on chinese atv

I just bought this sunl 110 used knowing it wouldn't start. I even tried starting fluid and it won't start. I have 2 more of these and have switched alot of parts doing trial and error. I have spark so I think I narrowed it down to not getting gas into the cylinder. The carb I have on it is off of one of my other running atvs so I know that it is good. I pulled the spark plug out and it is dry. Any ideas?

Thanks

do you have compression in the cylinder?

if you have spark starting fluid in the carb should fire the engine, did the engine try to start when you did this?

Default 110 atv no start.

remove spark plug and valve covers. turn engine over are the valve operating? check valve timing could be off. pour small amount of gas into plug hole and replace plug. should start for a short time. i'm not a beleiver in starting fluid for a gas engine. it's made for starting deisels in cold weather. post again and tell us what you found out.

If the cab is good, the carb is getting fuel and the plug is dry then your pretty much guaranteed your valves are not functioning properly.

Hello,
Assuming that you have fuel flow we can assume that the problem is in the ignition system. Even though you may have spark there is a possibility that the spark is insufficient or is being extinguished by the fuel. No need to invest in an expensive spark plug as a standard NGK or Autolite work just fine. These are good plugs. Champions have a high failure rate.
Check/replace you spark plug.
Check your spark plug wire. I believe that it should read about 7k ohms per foot though I'm not positive. any automotive manual should be able to tell you this. Replace if neccessary.
Check you ignition system by looking for loose parts and consult a manual if you need to check the more complex parts. I don't know anything about your vehicle, but some engines came with a ballast resistor or circuit (wire). These can be faulty also.
Good luck.
