05 600 using oil

05 600 using oil 3500 miles on machine used aabout 6 ounces in 2 days riding about 150 miles. what is average cost to repair if it is valves and rings or can i run thicker oil for a little while. thank you for all advice Rick

I'm not positive here.. but I'm sure that the oil that you would get in a polaris oil change kit is Synthetic oil.. could be wrong.. Try switiching to a heavier weighted conventional.. Dino oil seems to not leak as much

(do they use syn oil in atv's?)
