Default 2004 sportsman 400 missing only on hills

i have a 04 sportsman 400 it has low miles and has a problem with hills. Its missing, kinda like when you go in reverse and have to push in the little yellow button to get more rpm and power in reverse.....well my machine bogs out just like that....only on hills.
on flat ground its great..get it going up a hill and its missing just like that little reverse button needs to be pressed...any takers?

Sounds like a lean condition, I had a similar problem with my 04.5 500and I raised the needle in the carb one notch and also increased the jet size. Also check your float level.

Default Bogage...

I agree with Tiger. Take off the spark plug boot and cut a new clean edge on your plug wire. Then push and twist it back on.
