Magnum 425 won't fire

Hate ask a question on my 1st post, but here goes.

I got my step dad's 425 when he passed away. It's a 98 model with few hours. He bought it when he was 76 years old. Has NEVER been mistreated or rode hard. I'm 66 and use it to go to the pasture and back. Has always started almost instantly. I put it in the shed 2 days ago and it was running OK.

Went to start it yesterday and no go. Nothing in the way of even trying to start. Has good battery, starter OK, lights come on......fuel is fresh....cranks very good.

I changed the fuel filters, cked the flow from the tank, changed the plug, cked for loose wires...nothing.

Cranks good....just won't even act like it wants to fire.

Any suggestions?

Could be old fuel in the tank or clogged fuel filter.

Does it have spark?
Maybe pull off the spark plug wire boot and recut it and put boot back on. Sometimes it is the only problem=that people look past.
