Default 2004.5 Sportsman 500 HO driveshaft removal

I am wondering how I remove the front drive shaft on my 500HO. I have the wheel off, Strut off and CV Joint apart at the wheel side. There is a u joint at my differential side. I would like to replce the whole drive shaft but I can't pop the drive shaft out of the diff. Is there a roll pin that has to be removed? I was told it was just a round cerclip holding it in and it would just pop out with some pressure.
Can anyone help me?
