Default Sportsman 800 AWD problem. 4x4 won't engage

I am having a problem with my 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 that I bought used.
AWD won't engage. The screen lights up HOT and Chek engine
The 4wd light does not comes on.
Every function on the speedometer appears to be working properly.
I think it's something electrical because the problem arised right after replacing old dead battery.
Please need help or send me the directions for checking out the front end.

You should change your front diff oil cause if you been in the water the discs in your diff rust and wont make contact and wont engage 4 by 4! Not a foresure solutions but worth a try

check to see if your getting 12 volts to the front diff. There are two wires a postive and a ground going into the front diff. If you are getting 12 volts to the front diff but still no 4wd then you have a mechanical problem. ~Phil
