Angry 94' Sportsman 400 idle problem

It started out with the machine dying (in consistantly) Then would have to set for a period to restart. I think I have solved that problem by cleaning the carborator, changing the jet and readjusting the metering pin. However, it will not idle now.
I could use so help - I got the machine second hand and do not have a owners manuel.

Hey, you need to remove/clean the pilot jet ( this jet is what's used during idle rpm) The needle you adjusted on the slide is more for mid range and the jet you replaced I'm assuming is the main jet used for mid to high rpm. The pilot jet is very small, best bet it to remove it (usually a very small flathead) and blow it out with an air gun until you can see daylight through it.

Hope this helps

Good Luck & Take Care

+1 on the pilot jet. Check your idle screw too. Also might wanna check yer needle as well.
