ive been a proud owner of this beast and have had it since i was 9 and im 18 now and the last couple years when i get into the top end it gets to a certain point where it wont go or give anymore power and i know it has more. its never been rebuilt at all, always cleaned after riddin it has a whistle kinda noise comin out the air intake when i give it a little gas and it will idle when cold when i ride for a bit and it gets hot and i stop i dies and is hard to start back up im pretty sure the carb needs cleaned and rebuilt(well so does the entire motor) any ideas right now til i decide to have it rebuilt?

Perished rubber inlet manifold. Letting in air when it gets warm.
As to rebuild, the age has no reference to that being necessary unless it's badly worn. Usually a set of rings and a valve grind is the norm-unless it has ingested heaps of dust through the aircleaner.
