Default Need help with the king quad

I have a 2000 Suzuki king quad 300 and it will only run if u take the air box out. I tryed everything I could think of with no luck. I rebuilt the carb cleaned the k&n filter, and changed the clamps for the carb. If anyone can help me out thanks.

Smile Sounds like air restriction

How easy does it crank? It sounds like some kind of air restriction or too much fuel. I rebuilt my carb and crossed the air lines and it would flood when starting. Once it cranked it was ok which I thought was weird. I haven't figured out the hoses yet but hopefully soon I'll be able to get back on it. Back to your problem. Removing the air box lets more air in which means you either don't have any air flow or too much fuel flow. This is true in most other applications also. This may not be much help but maybe it is.
