1985 Yamaha Moto 4 200 Problem

I have a small problem with my 1985 Yamaha Moto 4 200. When I try to start the machine with the electric start, the motor will not fire. It turns the starter over just fine, But as soon as i give it 1 pull on the pullstart it will fire right up.
Any ideas on what things I can do or look for to fix this?

Maybe the battery is dead(low)

I have put in a brand new battery and I have been told by a couple people to try and put more voltage to it so i tried boosting it off my truck and still havent got any where

Any Other ideas or things i should try replacing??

I had the same thing happen with mine you have a weak coil I could'nt figure out why it started only with the pull rope but after the new coil it works Great! Try Ebay for the part. Lugnut
