Valve Clearance

Anyone know the results of too little or too much valve clearance ? I am getting alot of backfire when I come off the throttle and wonder if this could be a valve clearance issue.

I have a 1999 Grizzly 600 that backfires when I get off the throttle also. I checked and adjusted the valve clearence and it still does it

I think its not the valve bro. Better look into your engine

This a brand new 2011 250 Recon so I hope it's not the engine !
