I am posting this for my son - I just bought a Yamaha ATV - rear wheel drive - red body colour and it has transmission problems. It does not want to go into gear and I need a source for information. How do I tell what model this machine is and what size the engine is? The VIN tag on the front has a long serial number and for "TYPE" - it lists ATV VTT. Can anyone help me identify this machine ? Also, this is a long shot but does anyone have any suggestions as to why it will not go into gear and would this model have had a reverse gear originally? ANy help will be appreciated.
