Default How thick is the V belt on a 01 kodiak?

I bought an aftermarket v belt for my 01 kodiak 4x4. The original was missing along with a bunch of other parts. I had to rebuild the motor during the last couple months that I've had it. I got it running and it stalled when I put it into gear. I pulled the clutch cover and the belt will not stop spinning. I've double checked my work and everything is how its suppose to be. The belt is 1" 3/16 wide. It doesn't look right sitting in the secondary clutch. So my question is what width should it be?
