Default Looking to purchase newer Big Bear 400, what to look for?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'm hoping you can answer some questions I have.

I am looking to purchase an ATV for myself. This is the first machine I will have bought, or done any vast amount of riding with.

After looking at all the various brands and models, I have decided on a newer Big Bear 400, with IRS.

My usage will be almost totally trail riding. I realize that this machine is more of a utility/workhorse, but I have my reasons for liking it.

What I like about the machine is it's "simplicity", manual shift, full-locking diffs and IRS. I also like the fact that it is a midsized machine, not a goliath trail monster.

I will very likely be purchasing used. What, if any are known problems with this machine? Things I should look for and be aware of.

What is considered high mileage for this machine?

There does not seem to be many around, used or new. Are they just not popular, or do people tend to hold on to them?

Thanks for your help!
