big bear neutral switch

Where is it?? This is a BB 350 2x4 1995 or so. Machine is in neutral but I have to fish for the sweet spot on the gear shift to get it to start. Where is the neutral switch located. I have several Yamaha books but onne on the the BB. Thanks, Tom

I don't see a listing for a neutral safety switch on the parts list. Does it go into your brake switch?

Saber6, Thanks for reply. This seems like most other Yamaha's, when in neutral. the neutral light will be lit. I don't think reverse or brakes will have anything to do with it. It is probably internal somewhere under some god awful part you have to take off.

I would be more than happy to by-pass it if I just knew where to tie it off. Any and all help appreciated, Tom

I am looking at the parts blow up on Yamahas web site and I cant find anything. I have an 08 grizz 700 and to start it in gear you have to have the brakes on.

HI Saber, in cruising the internet, I found RONAYERS.COM FICHE DESKTOP and they list a part number, their own I guess, of 3gb-82540-01-00. Unfortunately, they just show an arrow pointing to the engine with no explanation as to just where it is located. Maybe I can locate a better schematic. Your assistance much appreciated. Tom
