My Big Bear was my first 4x4 utility ATV. Before that my parents bought my sister and I a new '86 Honda 200SX. Then when I was 18 I bought a new 1992 Honda 250X. I should have bought the Yamaha Warrior 350 instead. Mainly because the Warrior was a little bigger (longer and wider), plus had more power. The 250X was kind of small for me and seemed down on power.

The Big Bear was completely different then anything I've had before. I started looking for a 300 to 400cc 4x4 utility ATV in the late summer of '99. I looked at the '99 Big Bear 350 and didn't like it at all. Once the new 2000 Big Bear 400 came out and I sat on and test drove one, I had to have one. I've really liked it since day one, even 12 years latter. I really do prefer the auto (or manual) clutch, manual shift transmissions.

All need a little work, slowly but surely!
