AC 90 Rev Limiter Question

We have a 2 year old AC 90. The speed limiter is still in place so it only goes 15mph. My wife pitched the throttle screw so you can open it wide open.
My wife and two daughters ride it pretty often and some days the neighborhood (we live in a rural area) girls come ride it too. There are six neighbor girls from ages 7- 18 years. So some days, the 9 of them take turns riding it all day long.
When they ride, they all ride wide open with it pegging the rev limiter anywhere from 2 seconds to 15 minutes straight, maybe longer! They ride it like that so long that the exhaust and parts of the engine get cherry red hot. But they keep taking turns with it. No mercy!
My wife and the 18 yo neighbor like it, they said they want to abuse it as hard as they can, and laugh their buts off at it. The other girls just do it because my wife told them to push the throttle all the way open and hold it there when they ride.

So far, it still runs pretty good, but it sounds tired. It smokes a little and uses a bit of oil.
Does pegging the rev limiter cause damage? I change the oil regularly
