learning atv stuff ( tires and rims)

I have a 2015 ARCTIC CAT 550......considering taller rims and better gripping tires. I ride trails on my property that are rutted and get pretty muddy/swampy...would like a little more clearance and grip.
Do I have to shop specific rims for article cat?....are most rims universal?

no there usually different bolt pattern or off set id at ebay will be your best friend as in price n selection my opinion you can look at moto sport or rocky mountain atv or ronnies or dennis kirk for a reference but between ebay n moto sport has been the cheapest on most

learning atv stuff rims)

Just come across a 2001 grizzly 600 and bought it as project . The tires on bike right now are
back- 25*9.5*12
front-25*8*12

I want to put 28s on the bike because I don’t want to go to big. But I’ve found it hard to find that tire size for my stock rims. Would I be better off buying different rims for the bike so I have more of a selection in tire size and if so what rim would I go with.

Also so last question. I bought an HMF exhaust and it says need to jet the bike(that isn’t expensive ) but is it needed

thanks for your time and feedback
