The beast

I have a 2012 Outlander 1000xt
I have ITP Mudlites (27inch) on ITP ss wheels, 2 inch lift, snorkel kit, rear hard case from Can Am , heated grips and throttle.
I have it in the dealer for the first service and some of the above parts are being installed. I have picture before mods. I have only owned it a month or so.

I thought about mudlites for mine, likely next set of tires but having just bought the machine a week earlier I could not justify the fact they were so much more money.

this past week i got around to installing my tracks back onto the bike. haven't had a chance to get out yet but hopefully soon.

right after the pics were taken, i took it to the pay'n'spray so it didn't look so disgraseful

way north Smokey

You must be way north of me, tracks in NJ would be useless at least 11 months a year. some years we never get a good snow cover. Tracks means Northen area and a work horse for an ATV!
I have been reading about tracks on the Can Am forum because I am ignorant being from NJ I have never seen one

i ride about 3 hours north of toronto ontario. not always enough snow up here either but i always wanted a set of tracks and when i found a used set for my exact atv model, i couldn't not buy them. havn't gotten a lot of use outta them but its one of those "whatever" things. i always wanted them so i bought them. if i don't use them, it sucks but they aren't eating anything sitting in the back of my shed either.

they are about the funest thing i've ever driven tho. all it takes is to watch some of Gunnys videos to realize the joy of tracking lol

Tracks go through some insane mud to. I was at a rally last year were less than half the quads made the half way point and there was an elderly man on a Polaris 700 with tracks who just casually cruised through the whole thing while everyone is just chomping through and winching and towing. It was crazy what they can go through.

Got a bumper from Kimplex put it on last night, F*** it said put the bracket on the bumper so I did them bolted the bumper to the quad, then couldn't put the top for the front box on. So I unbolt the bumper from the brackets put the box cover on, put the bumper back on and the lid won't open all the way.. WTF, well it looks really good so I am just gonna live with it.

Put a Magnaflow muffler on my sportsman, sounds fantastic easily the best sounding sportsman I have ever heard by far.

Trying to get a Viper Elite 4000lb winch installed, FML though I can not get it figured out begining to think I got the wrong remote and reciever combination. Got the wired handlebar controls working but that remote hates me.

My Can Am comes with the remote. I have never used it! lol
I always just use handlebar controls. I think the remote is over rated.
Everyone keeps telling me that but dammit I never had a winch with a remote and I am gonna make it work somehow.

went broke! $$$

Ordered tires and rims from 4 wheel on line. Mudlites and ITP rims.
They sent rims for a Polaris which obviously did not fit. Cost me $280 to send them back. They tried to charge me for the FREE shipping that I got when they shipped them. They also tried a resocking fee! Anyhow $280 down the tubes! I told them I will never deal with them again!
So I took My ATV to a local shop figuring I would be sure to get the right ones. I wound up ordering more expensive tires and rims. Then I was worried about the clutch with bigger heavier Outlaw Radials 27". Bought a clutch kit. Had snorkels installed, dual Muzzy exhaust and fuel programmer. HAd skid plates ordered and i am now broke! I do not know if this counts because it is not all done yet!

I hope to see my ATV in a couple weeks! so, Tires, rims, clutch kit, snorkel kit, Complete Dual exhaust, fuel tuner and skid plates!

So turns out I was retarded on the winch thing if I had read instructions I would have figured out I had it in right all along.

Working today on hand and thumb warmers, a temp gauge, fan overide switch, reverse overide and gonna fab up some lock and ride jerrycan holders since polaris wants your first born child for the lock and ride cans.

My kids got me a fairing and low windshield for fathers day. As soon as it's installed I'll post some pics. Most likely next week. Looking forward to keeping a wee bit more dust out of my face cause I just can't help but smile as i'm out riding.
