Keeway gtx 300cc gear oil type

Hi guys,

This is my first post here. I decided to sign up on this forum because I'm the not so proud owner of a POS atv, which has caused me nothing but problems since I bought it. I don't know much about engines or bikes, so dealing with this has been a bit of a headache for me.

Anyway, I have no documentation for this bike, and I'm trying to figure out what type of transmission oil / gear oil to use. The make and model is keeway gtx 300cc 4x4 (from 2010).

I've been searching the web for an owners manual, but I can't find it anywhere. Would really appreciate some help here.

New member myself, also owner of the Keeway 300GTX 2013. I do have problems, seems to be the clutch system, anyway, can't get it into forward or reverse gear, when motor running, Very noisy trying to move from N to H or R. ATV only gone 50km, not been much in use. When I finally needed it for clearing snow, the transmission quit working. Good start!. What I really wanted to tell is that I do have some manuals her for the Keeway 300 GTX Mine is 2013 but it may be the same for 2010. I could mail it to you if you want, then I need an E-mail address. 2 files(may be 3, see what I can find) each about 5.5MB. Let me know.
Kind regards

A little update here:

My uncle and I picked apart the ATV, and found out that my rear variator clutch assembly was busted. There was a huge chunk of metal that was completely broken off. So we took the rear variator off, and now I'm waiting for a new part (200 bucks). Should be a pretty quick fix once the part arrives actually.

As far as the transmission oil goes, I went with 75w90

Hi folks,

I live in Ecuador and have a 2013 Keeway quad and also am trying to find the "right" transmission oil to use. The local bike shop that sells this quad has no clue.

So, what my manual says is "Gear box oil.....Mos2 & W-2dw-4D". When you google it is identified as a German made synthetic. And it appears to be a 10-40 viscosity. But this seems to light for gear oil. i actually don't know what is in there now since I bought the quad used.

Also, had a clutch variator break (front one) and they wanted $300 for a replacement. I bought what I needed from VMCCHINESEPARTS.COM in Illinoies for $42. Had it shipped to a friend in Florida that brought it down here in luggage.

Any other insights on oil for transmission?
