04 Bombardier/Can-Am Ds650 Oil change

Hey guys I have some questions about the oil changes on the Ds 650.

So I changed the oil filter and drained the oil but the dipstick is still coming out with full oil on it. Do I have to drain the spot where the dipstick goes aswell? Or just the stuff from the bottom of the engine. Please get back to me asap.

Thanks Shane

Hopefully you found an answer to this by now. I searched and found some info on the Can Am forums. Apparently there are 2 places that hold oil on these. You must drain both. Disconnect the hose that runs from the tank near the headlight at the engine end and drain. Next disconnect it at the top end. There should be a screen you need to check there. Next drain the engine via its drain plug and then change the filter. All should be empty now and you shouldn’t see oil on your dipstick any longer.
