Hey atv master
I would disagree with the new Honda’s. I think that the trannys In them are great. CVTS are great and all, but if that’s your style, gets a can am. The Honda’s are built to last, and still are. CVTS are much more finicky, and belts and maintenance are a pain. Honda is a work quad, more for reliability.

My Grandfather has a 2x4 Big Bear 400. It's 17 and has been in the shop once. The carburetor had to be replaced. This thing has been DOGGED! It has had tons of people that don't know how to use a manual on it, it's been overloaded countless times. And I've driven it and the thing still stars up every time even in cold starts and runs like a brand new one. I highly suggest any Yamaha product to anyone or Andy OLDER honda. (Older honda's because they are bulletproof, the new ones still are Honda just needs to get into the CVT game instead of all this crap their doing with the Tranny's right now.)

Interesting, I own both a BB 400 full time 4x4 winch and plow.
I just bought another Polaris (my third one) here is my comparison.
Yamaha is a work horse beast! powerful stiff suspension great for hauling stuff and plowing.
Polaris whips its butt! smoother ride, faster better handling because you can use 2x4 or 4x4. for plowing yamaha for ripping trails Polaris!
My 400 Polaris was great too had that for about 7 years before I sold it. The new 500 H O kicks butt

|Getowned||I have my Big Bear 400 and my dad had a Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. in my opinion, they run neck and neck but polaris is a little better, yamaha would have to add a few more features to their quads to be right next to Polaris. Both great brands though i recommend both.|

According to market Yamaha is one of best well known brand in atv industry but have not more demand as compare to polaris. your choice is best.

|Getowned||I just bought a 2008 Big Bear 400 4x4 about a week ago for $1500, it needed the plastics buffed out and cleaned really nice along with grinding rust off the racks and repainting them, i had to replace the front wheel bearings and the back brakes. I finished all that a few days ago, ive been riding ever since. Best quad ive owned along with the best $1500 ive spent.|

I leave pulled in all the time. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm gonna buy a cheap battery from Walmart from now on. They're half the price of a factory or suppose to be good battery.
