Heya... Just wondering if anyone has suggestions to diagnose my sick work-beast (1996 Kodiak).

It has no spark, however if we disconnect the spark plug cap it will jump a spark from inside the wire casing to the ground. It just won't carry it through the cap and power the plug.

I've tried changing coil and CDI, and I've tried the spark plug cap from a working machine. I'm getting ~500 ohm across the stator wires, and they're not grounding out. I don't believe this machine has a CPS.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, I'm close to biting the bullet and taking it into a dealer and having them diagnose it, which I can't really afford after blowing 325 bucks on the new CDI.
