I apologize if asked already but couldn't find specifically what my issue was. I am certainly not a master mechanic but have a fair amount of experience. I have a 2003 Polaris 90cc Sportsman has had a brand new piston and cylinder (not done by me, this belongs to a friend I'm trying to help). The issue we are having is white smoke more than I'm used to running 2 stroke motorcycles along with running very rough and starts rough. Often need a little starting fluid to encourage. Once started throttle help wide open will sputter but run. I have clean rebuild carb, new plug, bypassed fuel filter (thinking wasn't getting a steady flow of fuel. Spark plug looks great even after all the white smoke. Tried adjusting the mixture screw and makes no difference at all. Anyone have other suggestions before I start on the crank seal ??
