Has anyone had any issues with the throttle sticking on their 90 Predator? When you push full throttle the bikes takes off, then when you realease the thumb throttle the bike keeps on going, you have to hit the kill switch to stop the bike then when you re-start it, it runs proper again...very dangerous for the kids !!!
I have taken the carb apart and cleaned the cable, spring, and plastic sleave that the throttle cable attaches to, adjusted the throttle cable. I took apart the cover where the thumb throttle is but there doesn't seem to be too much to adjust or clean(it was very clean to begin with).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

is the throttle hard to pull that could be that the throttle cable is kinked or squished somewhere also does the throttle cable return to position

I traced the cable and it seems to be free, obviously there is the black sleave covering the actual cable so i cant tell if it is freaded anywhere inside the protective sleave. I cant tell if the cable returns to the original position but the thumb accelerator does. It only sticks when your moving at full speed and at that point all your trying to do is hit the kill switch so that you can avoid the giant oak tree thats in front of you. I feel that the problem lies somewhere with in box that the thumb accelerator is connected too. Within that box is some sort of electrical relay switch that I have no idea what its for.

mine has that relay too looks like something for a kill switch or something to do with the ignition does the state you get gas from have lots of e85 like mn then that messes up the carbs and engines alot you said you took apart the carb di d you take every piece apart and spray it good with carb clean the blow it off with compressed air if not that will help also make sure all the parts of your carb are functioning properly and clean also make sure you put it together correctly does your predator have a 4 or 2 stroke engine

Yes its a 2 stroke, I have cleaned carbs many times before with carb cleaner and compressed air and it was spotless when i put it back in. I think I will take apart the throttle control box with that relay and see if I can notice anything...process of elimination in guess.

good luck the throttle box shouldnt be hard to crack see if the cable is being obstructed by anything or broken or sticking
