I just purchased a 2003 700 sportsman, it sound like the exhaust donut is shot, it gets louder and louder evertime i drive it, is it ok to ride the machine like this, or should i park it until i get the new donut on there?

exaust leakage...

I allways put some high temp gasket maker on the seal(Take it out and cover it). Make sure you let the gasket sealer dry for 24hrs+clean parts. Having a hole that close to the cylinder is bad because it can suck cold air in+ bad for the valves.

#13 is the seal:thumbsup:

thanks for the info, i was told it would not hurt the machine, but i tend to agree with you about the valve issue, i have heard of valves being burned from this in the past, i guess the machine will have to sit till after the holidays, bummer, i wanted to take the kids out for a ride.
