Hi

I am thinking of getting my first atv. It will be mostly for a bit of farm work like spreading fertilizer and towing a chain harrow. I also have a drum at about 250 kilos.
I have my eye on a used kawasaki 250cc from 08. I know kawasaki is a good brand. But I am wondering if it will be strong enough to do that drum towing and the drag harrow when it digs in.
This kawasaki has semi trans. Dont know how tough this is compared to manual trans.
Should I go for it or find something with more cc?

They really aren't designed for that sort of work. Though they may manage to tow a heavy weight, it's bound to be overloading the gears and driveline. If the use was intermittent and not too often it might be ok, but really you'd be better off with a small tractor if you were planning on doing much work like that, particularly the harrows.
