hey yall. I got an...... interesting issue. wheeler is a 1995 kodiak 400 4x4. I'm rebuilding the top end and while setting the piston in the jug the crank turned and bound up the timing chain. no biggie here. but once I freed the chain I realized it sheared off the shoulder that holds the timing chain guide:eek:. this is the non tension side ( I'd call it the idler side of the guide) I obviously should have this in there.there is enough where it barely sits in there. it would be easy to drop off the side and fall into the crank though.. I'm wondering what my options are here. drill a hole through case and make my own shoulder? leave it out hope for the best? really in a pickle here. any advice is helpful. thank you!

Welcome to the forum. Is it something that can be built back up buy welding it. You may need to look on eBay for a used cylinder.
