I had to replace the piston in my 330. I noticed the factory had metal head and base gaskets and use sealant on a lot of things. I found aftermarket gasket sets , are they as good as factory or should I stick with all oem since the unit is only oil cooled

I'd use genuine for metal or rubber gaskets, (are you sure about the metal base gasket? That's weird), but an aftermarket is probably fine for the paper gaskets.
I'd also highly reccommend you get a tube of loctite master gasket.. It doesn't harden till it's clamped together so you can take your time assembling, it wipes off the outsides easily and it doesn't leave bits of goo to block up small holes of strainers like silicon does inside. Oh, and the opened tube never ever goes hard, you can have it on your shelf for years..
