Went to my local shop this morning to get front gear oil and not sure they gave me the right stuff. Guy seemed a little confused and told me I needed 1.5 quarts but from what I read it only needs about 2/3 quart? I also asked about a synthetic rope winch line and he told me the steel cable is better and less chance of injury? Anyway, just want to be sure I got the right stuff here. Manual says hypoid but I don't see that anywhere on the bottle?

The oil will be right. That little picture on the front there is of a hypoid gear set. Hypoid is that curved spiral shape and it causes a lot of shearing load on the oil, which is what the special oil caterer's to.
