I know there will be several opinions but looking for the pros and cons to each.

My riding will mainly be plowing snow at home and trail riding. No racing, very little hillclimbing and hopefully no mudding or deep water passaging.
My biggest concerns would obviously be safety but also dust, tree branches, and sun. I have fairly sensitive eyes and wear sunglasses any time it is bright out so if I went with a MX style then I'd likely get 2 sets of goggles (1 clear, 1 shaded). If I went full face with a shield then I'd want to have an easy way of switching visors or to wear my sunglasses under the helmet.
I still have my open faced helmet from my drag racing days back in the 90's but I want something that will protect my face from branches, etc

Thoughts or opinions?

Modern MX full face helmets are pretty light and comfortable these days.
I hate helmets but havent regretted having one out in the woods yet.
After taking a surprise branch across the chest I bought a roost guard as well.
Not sure where your located but I found that ski/snow mobile goggle work excellent where I live due to their anti fogging nature during the winter and when it rains out.

Offended or not has nothing to do with it. I'm so far from woke I'm nodding out as I type. I couldn't care less if that offends you or anyone else. This is a legitimate post about helmets. On a great forum about ATV's. No one wants to see you standing on a roof in your underwear and tin hat spouting your brand of malarkey. Hope I offended you.
