I do them in place, apart from my bad back it's no real problem.. haha. A g clamp is handy to press the cups in if the hammer won't fit.. a few changes like that but you'll figure it.

I think you'll find the yokes have a bit machined away where the cap goes in so you can get it in a way, and onto the cross, before having to press it into the yoke. Then you don't need to press it so far across the other way for the second one either.. Bloody good these jap machines.

If it's the U joints, spraying oil on them is a very temporary fix. There's grease inside the caps along with needle bearings which are probably well on their way to being destroyed. New U joints should fix it up.

Thanks Mad. Everything is still good so far, but I figured I’m on borrowed time. I have two new U-Joints on order and as soon as they arrive I’ll be switching them out. Mech provided me with some great step by step instructions on how to do that.
