Help so about 6 months ago my 2016 Wolverine drive belt went out and I have not been able to get to it until now it ran once over that 6 months but I replaced the belt, and it fires up and idleing pretty good and little rough but when I press on the throttle it chokes down and switches off anyone have any thoughts as to what could help?

A bug's made a nest in your exhaust.. the fuel needs changing... The paper air filter has got damp and needs drying... Those happen from sitting..
Or.. the new belt is engaging too soon.. Is the new belt the right one ?

If you haven't run the motor long enough to warm right up, that might be all it needs.. I'd change the fuel and give it a long run, coaxing it to rev if need be.

It sounds like you are throttling too quickly but i might be wrong. Try letting the motor run for longer and try throttling up slower to begin with. Your belt might be two slow and therefore rotating too quickly. Try a slightly bigger belt IF you deem that the reason. I know thebeltdoctor.com have a good range of ATV belts but let me know how the above info works out?
