**Few reminders**:
Saturday night dinners: Karen Moore and Tara Hughes have graciously volunteered to head up the dinners. What we need from you are:
1 .Burgers/Dogs
2. Buns
3. Condiments
4. Chips/dips
5. Desserts
6. Charcoal
7. Tables
8. People to help set up and clean up.
You can contact them with what you plan to bring/help with. Karen Moore ([email protected]), Tara Hughes ([email protected])
Volunteers: We are still in need of help in a few areas.
1. Practice flagger on Saturday's
2. Practice Announcer on Saturday's
3. Promoting (Passing out flyers, help at promotional events)
4. Sale of Raffle tickets
5. Scorekeepers
6. Holeshot awards ( contact Dee with any info: [email protected])
The problem in the past is that the same people work all year and get burned out and then we are left scrambling trying to find people who want to keep racing alive in our area. If we all pitch in the tasks are not near as bad as we thought. We want to keep this going we are worth the effort, we just need everyone to help.
Promotional Events: We have 2 events scheduled. Merryville Heritage Festival March 31st for more info contact: [email protected].
Houston Construction Industry Auto Show: May 19th. Contact Matt Carpenter at [email protected] for more info.
Tech Inspection: Please be aware you will need to bring your helmet with you for it to be inspected as well. We are having some difficulty with number plates. There are a few who do not have legible plates or don't have plates with numbers on the front and rear bumper. Starting Round 3 if you do not have legible plates on front and rear bumper you won't pass inspection. With the larger classes it is near impossible to read your numbers and we don't want to not score you.
Programs/Rider Profile: We will continue to have programs at every race. If you are interested in advertising or know of someone who may be, please contact Micheli Messina at [email protected]. Everyone please fill out the rider profile, this gives us all an opportunity
to shine!!!!!
Saturday Practice: Until we get a traveling PA system and a FM transmitter you will have to know who you practice after. There is a practice order, it does not change from race to race so keep it with you. Dee will continue to keep the helmet stickers, so if you lose yours see Dee and he will be happy to give you another.
Race Orders: We are still trying to perfect the Race order texting so please bear with us, if you have not given your number to Jason Bryant please text him your number to get on the list. (409)790-1594.
Fantasy Quad Racing: The week before each national race, Jason Bryant will start a topic on the LSQR forum where you will enter your picks. Here are the rules:
1. Entries must be posted to the LSQR forum topic started by Jason Bryant the week of the race and must be received by Midnight Friday before the race. Only one entry per person.
2. Anyone who is a member of the LSQR forum is eligible to participate.
3. This will be done each race – not cumulative.
4. Pick the top 3 finishers in the Pro Class in the correct order
5. Pick the winner of the Pro-Am Production Class – to be used for a tie breaker (in the event the rider chosen does not win, then whomever’s picked rider places the highest will determine the winner)
6. Winner will receive a $10 gift card to Rocky Mountain ATV plus BRAGGING RIGHTS!
7. In the event there is not a winner, the prize will be rolled over to the next race and will continue to accumulate until there is a winner.
8. If there is no winner by the end of the season, then all participants’ names will be entered for a random drawing at our awards banquet.
Raffle Tickets/T-shirts and Hoodies: We have plenty of raffle tickets to sell to earn money for the Year End awards, all proceeds are profit. If you are interested in getting a book to sell please see Michelle Manshack or Angela Bryant and we will get you taken care of. We can continue to order shirts and hoodies we do not have a cut off so if you are interested we will have order forms at sign ups.
