Hey guys I’m here begging for help I’m a diesel mechanic never working on ATV’s so friend of mine brings over his 1997 400 Kodiak, it wouldn’t start and wasn’t charging, I removed right hand and left hand covers being a rookie. Changed stator and put it back together it will not shift I did mess with the nut and flat head adjust it say increase and decrease. I been out in the garage messing with it and can’t figure it out.

Please help if you can I appreciate it
